My family runs an older style of motel with the big keys and plastic tags connected to them. Everything is in an 80s flair and the bar looks like a set from a dated film. Customers like staying at the motel since it is cheap, easy and yet quaint, then recently our motel Heating and A/C unit died and our family didn’t recognize what to do. My parents absolutely wanted to get the same old central Heating and A/C unit that they had early on. I pushed to get a ductless Heating and A/C occasion so that each motel room coil has their own climate control. It would be nice that unused rooms don’t get heated or cooled. It also would be more convenient and a draw to customers that they can set the heating and ac. I looked into the cost of ductless Heating and A/C and it wasn’t much. I also found that a ductless mini split is honestly quite pretty. The upgrade is just a few holes drilled into the wall where refrigerant tubes and wires go. The actual unit looks like a grey, clean bar. Then the thermostat is mounted next to it. It is out of the way and is easily flashy. Right now it is just a matter of our family signing on the final line and then I get our new heating and cooling unit. I am easily excited. I like that both of us will have something a little more modern in our company.
