Whenever our parents come to our lake beach house I am consistently sure to disinfect more than ever plus have the arena in tip top shape.
My parents are consistently amazed at the new technology I have all over the arena.They haven’t yet gotten used to all the technology that I have in our lake beach house plus they haven’t easily adjusted to a lot of technology in their lives in general.
My Mom still has a flip iphone plus neither of parents would ever think about sending a message. They think a lot of our lake beach house features just mean that I am lazy. My voice controlled lights, locks, plus TV are just over the top for them; When they came over last week, I think they were more shocked than ever by our gas fireplace. I think it was the first beach house they have been to that did not have what they called a “real” fireplace! But I tried to explain that this one was much safer, plus that I didn’t have to worry about getting burned or anything flying out of the fire. I didn’t have to worry about the exposed fire hurting anyone or even the mess it could cause. My Propane gas logs are better for the environment plus could easily be turned on plus off with a switch. The propane was a fantastic energy source plus was way better for the environment than any wood. I explained the benefits to them over plus over, plus all they could ask was that if I wasn’t going to have a traditional fireplace, then what was the point? I explained that it was still used to heat our lake beach house plus of course the appearance of it was attractive as well, but none of this went over well plus I knew it might take a few more visits for our parents to understand.
