Last year was my first time traveling for work.
- I was sent to the coast to job on a Navy project.
I am not a military person, however our contractor has tons of military contracts. Since I am not authorized military personnel, I could not stay on the base while our contractor diagnosed the project. Instead, my contractor set me up with a corporate suite. The corporate suite was located about 3 miles away from the military base. The building had multiple different corporate suites, as well as I was excited to find mine on the first floor. I have a huge fear of heights, as well as I rarely stay anywhere above the first floor. The corporate suite provided full service accommodations, including a spa, indoor basketball court, as well as upgraded Fitness Center. The corporate suite was set up with a large family room, office, as well as spacious living area. I was entirely excited to see a king size bed in the master family room as well as a nice L-shaped desk in my office. I had plenty of area as well as the corporate suite to entertain friends or family, and during my time absolutely working on the project, I had some friends over to watch a football game. Everyone that was staying on base was entirely sad that they did not receive the same beautiful accommodations as me. They were stuck in military housing, which was entirely basic as well as boring. It would have been easier for me to stay on the base, although I believe my residents would not have been near as nice. From what the men explained, they did not even have central heat as well as air conditioning.
