Second, I would suggest getting a post office box for your mail. Our mailman is a notorious drunk, and tends to lose a lot of mail. Third, I know you had your house inspected before you moved in, but I would suggest getting another one, with a few specific concerns to look for. The weather conditions here are kind of unique, and they can impact your roofing, your walls, and your air ducts, as well. There are such huge swings in temperature and humidity around here, with sudden changes in air quality, you need to be watchful. The expanding and contracting of the foundation, the accumulation of moisture in the walls, even rust building up in ductwork, these are all regular occurrences. If you don’t have a top quality HVAC system, you need to consider getting one. Even if the temps don’t get too uncomfortable, running your HVAC system a lot will give your home an even, consistent air quality which helps it in the long term. If the air is always circulating, the air filters keep the air cleaner, and the systems dehumidifier can remove the maximum amount of moisture from the home. It won’t solve all your problems, of course, but it will make them all easier to manage, especially if you have one of those smart thermostats to help you.
