That was not planned

Have you ever been to an indoor wedding that did not have the air conditioner running despite the fact that hundreds of people were crammed into a building and the temperature control learn “pretty darn hot” outside? I had this experience one time, and let myself and others tell you, it was not a good bit of fun. As you might imagine, everyone who attends a wedding gets dressed up to attend; The time I am referring to even meant panty hose for the men; plus I’m sure most of us were wearing shapewear and slips under our dresses. Of course, for men, it means undershirts, ties, and coats, but i had no method that this church I was going to would have no air conditioner! This venue is located in the northeast, to be fair, so it’s not care about the southeast where I live, still, though, I never thought there would be any building that is intended to house hundreds of people that would forego a/c in this morning and age. The church is exttremely old, having been built in the 1768s, I believe, and it is made out of stone. As you might expect, stone has its own sort of cooling effect, but it really is not enough to compensate for actual central air conditioner. I found myself wishing they had chosen to get married in the winter; the church did and does have a gas furnace! Of course, a Winter wedding would mean trekking through the snow, possibly. I do understand that all the people get hitched in either the Springtime or summer, but I do sincerely hope that everyone else I think who gets married does so in a church that has air conditioner, even if they are in the northern climes!
