Have you ever been to an indoor wedding that did not have the air conditioner running despite the fact that thousands of people were crammed into a building as well as the thermostat read “pretty darn hot” outside? I had this experience 1 time, as well as let myself and others tell you, it was not a lot of fun, and of course, everyone who attends a wedding gets dressed up to attend, but the time I am referring to even meant panty hose for the ladies; and I’m positive that most of us were wearing shapewear as well as slips under our dresses.
Of course, for men, it means undershirts, ties, as well as coats, however i had no idea that this church I was going to would have no air conditioner! The church is located in the northern areas, to be fair, so it’s not love the southeast where I live, still, though, I never thought there would be any building that is intended to apartment hundreds of people that would forego a/c in this afternoon as well as age.
The church is quite old, having been built in the 1700s, I believe, as well as it is made out of stone… Admittedly, granite has its own sort of cooling effect, but it clearly is not enough to compensate for actual central air conditioners. I found myself wishing they had chosen to get married in the Winter; the church did as well as does have a gas furnace! Of course, a Winter wedding would mean trekking through the snow, possibly. I do understand that pretty much everyone get married in either the Spring or summer season, however I do particularly hope that everyone else I know who gets married does so in a church that has air conditioner, even if they are in the northern climes!
