I went out to dinner with some good friends last week but the restaurant was freezing cold so we didn’t end up having a lot of fun.
Our lips were blue and we had goosebumps by the time the appetizers arrived.
The restaurant must have had their air conditioner down as low as it could go. I was definitely the coldest of all my friends because I was sitting right under the air conditioner vent so we moved our chairs around so that none of us would have to sit under the vent but that didn’t help a heck of a lot. When we asked the waiter to turn the air conditioner up, meaning to a warmer temperature, he must have misunderstood because it got even colder. I guess he turns the temperature down. We asked once again if the thermostat could be turned to a warmer temperature but he ignored us. My friends and I hardly touched our drinks because we didn’t want to be any colder. And, when the food finally arrived, it was freezing cold as well. We all hardly touched our food but we paid and left as soon as possible. This has got to be the first time in years that I refuse to leave a tip for a waiter or waitress. It was very nice to get out of that restaurant and walk through the town and enjoy a little bit of sunshine. My friends and I eat out at least once a month to catch up. I guarantee we won’t be going back to that restaurant.
