My dad has owned a heating plus cooling equipment company for the past 30 years. He has always enjoyed his task plus he’s super good at it. He rules his HVAC equipment company like a king on his throne, though. He never lets anyone tell him what to do or how to do it when it comes to anything about the HVAC business. This has regularly included his marketing strategy, too! Actually, his HVAC marketing strategy has always been to have no strategy in the least! It’s driven me mad over the years that he has never had any advertising at all for the company. He says that his reputation plus ability to repair all types of air conditioner equipment plus oil furnaces is the only advertising that he legitimately needs… Well, I guess to a certain extent that’s true, but since I went to school for marketing plus advertising, I think that he should consider allowing me to help out at the family business. I easily told him that we should run a heating equipment tune up special for the fall plus at first, he wasn’t going for it… But after that I finally talked him into it plus I’m entirely excited about the ads I have come up with. The two of us are going to have a couple of radio commercial spots, a local cable spot, plus some ads in our local pennysaver magazines for oil furnace tune up specials plus fireplace maintenance. I think that it will be wonderful for business! Maybe if it works out, my dad will let me take over this section of the HVAC equipment business permanently.
