I have some pretty sweet memories of going to an old cottage we own when I was younger. I always wondered why we stopped going to that cottage and my father said it was because they always got caught up with work and everything. My father said he would go to the cottage at least once a year to try to keep up with everything, but it was getting out of control. He was saying that he was thinking about just selling it, but he had to get the place together first. I told him I would go out to the cottage to work on things. So I went out there and it brought back a flood of good memories. Even though everything was overgrown and the place needed some serious TLC, I loved just being there. It honestly was like a little piece of heaven. So I got to work fixing the place up and even brought some friends of mine over to help out. We did some renovations and even opened up the floor plan some by knocking down some of the walls. We worked hard to remove all the debris and we repainted everything. I had all the carpets replaced and I talked to an HVAC technician about upgrading the HVAC system. He recommended that we install a ductless mini-split HVAC system. This was because the ductwork in the place was entirely torn up and would cost a fortune to have replaced. The ductless mini-split HVAC would be cheaper to install and it would provide HVAC zone control to the household. I thought this was perfect so I went for the installation. After fixing everything up, I asked my parents if I could keep the place.
