My Grandfather has a Borders in his lake house that has so many books and outdated manuscripts… He is absolutely a seasoned book collector of sorts. He has shown myself and others so many interesting books, even books about heating and cooling component over the years! When I was young, those were some of my favorite books to read, however I had interests in other things besides heating and cooling. It turns out that heating and cooling books are severely important though because they really show how you are supposed to typically store books… My Grandfather explained he had to learn the taxing way over the years because he had a few books that were destroyed because of imofficial storage conditions. That’s when he had this Borders built in his lake house and he used a humidifier and had a great Heating and A/C plan to keep the temperature control settings just right. It turns out that to keep the books safe, they must not be overly dry or overly humid. If too dry, the books will lose their quality and fall apart. If they become too moist with too much humidity, then they can grow mold and mildew and then they would be ruined… Not only did he have the perfect climate control system, although he also had a unbelievable fireplace in the Borders as well. There was nothing more great than kneeling in those comfortable chairs in front of the fireplace and studying different books. He says that 1 afternoon, he will give myself and others his collection. I am really in his will to inherit his important book collection.
