Heat pump provides excellent HVAC comfort in summer and winter

The summer down here can really test a person’s fortitude.

The heat is unrelenting and quite intense.

I haven’t allowed that to keep me from doing what I want to do and that is important. But, it certainly isn’t easy. I have learned, having lived in this area for decades, how to manage all that summer heat. First, having quality HVAC is a giant priority. We are lucky to have a state of the art heat pump as our heating and cooling method. This method of HVAC is by far the most common around these parts. The modern heat pump does such an effective job of cooling our home during the worst of the heat. We have also made sure that we are doing all we can to enable the HVAC heat pump to provide maximum efficiency. Our home is sealed up super tight to be sure that we are keeping all the HVAC treated air inside the house. Allowing HVAC treated air to leak out is one of the most common HVAC related mistakes. I have seen articles that put the average HVAC waste number to like 30 percent of HVAC treated air in the average house. That is a huge number and being sure that doesn’t happen is a big priority. The heat pump is more than adequate for heating our home during our mild winter. Honestly, I rarely even turn the heat on during the winter. There are maybe a few stretches during January and February that require the heat to come on to make us comfortable.
