Cleaning service keeps shop looking professional

We have a schedule set up where they come in after I’m done for the day once per week.

For several years, I worked an office job. I drove to work, sat in my cubicle and put in my eight-hour shift five days per week. I was good at my job and even helped out with basic janitorial tasks. I didn’t mind being the one to dump the trash or clean up the break room. My job was no more than a way to make a living. On the side, I pursued a hobby of furniture building. It didn’t take too long before friends, neighbors and people I worked with to request customized furniture pieces. I started getting referrals from word of mouth. Eventually, it got to the point where I was making more money from my furniture building than my actual job. I was trying to complete projects after hours and on weekends. I decided to open up my own shop. The day I quit my regular job was one of the best days of my life. I figured I could handle all aspects of the business, from buying supplies to marketing and the cleaning requirements. I found that the cleaning and janitorial tasks got neglected. It was a poor reflection on my business. The shop was messy, dusty and downright dirty. The process of building furniture creates a lot of dust, debris and fumes. I tend to track the dirt and sawdust everywhere. I just didn’t have time to vacuum, sweep, mop and scrub surfaces. I tended not to notice the mess until it was out of hand. I finally hired a cleaning service. I took the cost right off the top of the budget and have never once regretted it. We have a schedule set up where they come in after I’m done for the day once per week. I open up in the morning and the shop is perfectly clean and tidy. The cleaning service does an excellent job. They keep the carpets looking like new. There’s no fingerprints on the windows and no dust on the shelves.
