Believe it or not, there are many different features that come with bathroom exhaust fans. When my wife and I went shopping last weekend, we were surprised to find so many options. We were looking for a simple exhaust fan to replace the old one in our master bathroom. I knew the fan was having problems for months. Every time I turned on the switch, it sounded sluggish. Lately, the bathroom is full of steam and I know the fan isn’t working well at all. We decided to go shopping for a replacement, before we ended up with total destruction to the paint and trim. Water damage and humidity can warp wood faster than anything I know. The droplets of water are already starting to bubble the paint by the shower wall. We expected to find five or six different choices, but the home improvement store had 67 different samples in stock. My wife and I didn’t realize that exhaust fans come with a variety of options. Most of them have a light, and a few of them even had a motion sensor light. A few choices had a bluetooth speaker installed in the fan. The thought of electronics and moisture did not sound like a great idea to either one of us. My wife and I decided to skip the bluetooth speaker option and purchased an exhaust fan that has a night light option and motion sensor. The light came with an easy installation kit. The directions were easy to read and we didn’t have any trouble making the swap. I think it was a great purchase on our part.
