All I want is a bar in the basement

I had been hoping to have a bar in our basement, ever since I moved into the house.

I never gave a single amount of thought to how taxing it was going to be to get heating into the bar.

It was cool during the summertime plus frosty in the Winter season. I assumed that since the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C systems was on the other side of the wall, it would be easy to get heating into the room. When the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C tech arrived, he told me it wasn’t the ease of getting heating into the room, but it was the cost. Every one of us didn’t have any ductwork that led into the basement. Our Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C system was honestly efficient plus there wasn’t any heat to be felt that was coming off the gas furnace. The ductwork had solid insulation and it wasn’t oozing any heat. This was as hot as the basement was going to get if I was going to have it heated. He asked if I had considered purchasing a portable heating system, or even a ductless mini cut for the basement. He told me that with ductless mini split, every one of us wouldn’t need the ductwork, as the name says. We would then need to put a small hole in the wall for the conduit, but the 1 space would be inside and the other space would be outside. It would supply us both heating plus a/c and he said it was highly efficient. I wasn’t sure if this was the way I wanted to go, and i already had a feeling that it was going to be extravagant to put in ductwork plus I could get the same efficiency from a ductless mini cut Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C system. It wasn’t going to cost much more for ductless mini cut Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C, so I decided to go ahead and give it a try.

Heating tune up
