I have now survived 64 winters in a row.
And these are seriously extreme winters up in the northern most reaches of our country.
But, that is enough. There won’t be a 65. I am heading south for but long I have left. No more bitter freezing for myself and others again. I could not be more excited to be honest. I hated the freezing but it was the lack of sunshine that actually got to myself and others all those winters. I have retired now and I will be getting all the sunshine I can take where I’m moving. The first thing I did to the little cabin I bought was to put a sunroom onto the back end. There actually wasn’t a fantastic deal to it. They had that thing up in just a few afternoons. The sunroom will be charming for enjoying the mild winter. But, I went a step further and added Heating and Air Conditioning to the sunroom. The Wintertide doesn’t get freezing enough actually often to need added heat to the sunroom. However, I still want to care about being out there when the heat comes in the summer. That would simply be impossible without Heating and Air Conditioning in the sunroom. I had the Heating and Air Conditioning guy come out and he urged myself and others to go with the ductless opening of Heating and Air Conditioning. He said trying to extend the main Heating and Air Conditioning would put too much strain on the modern system. But, the ductless unit would labor just great. It was installed in a day and I have a separate temperature control for just the sunroom. In fact, I may even use the heat opening every now and again to knock to the chill out of the sunroom while I care about my first cup of coffee.
